Google Trends
The other week we talked about Charles Kirkland’s one day affiliate project. He used Google Adwords to send traffic to a specific offer he found on a CPA network.
The result was that Charles traded about $900 for almost $5,000.
In case you don’t remember, a CPA network is a website that brings marketers like you together with merchants who want to buy leads. You supply the traffic, and they’ll convert them to leads and pay you for each one.
If it’s easier for you to find traffic, then it just might be easier to find a winning campaign.
Charles found his traffic with Google Adwords. But how did he choose the CPA offer he sent traffic to?
How Much is a Visitor Worth?
Last week we talked about Google Adwords.
Yes, it’s easy to get a flood of traffic with Adwords. And yes, it’s possible to get that traffic for as little as a penny.
But guess what…you might be over-paying, even at a penny!
Here’s why. Read more
Two Common Sales Page Leaks
We’ve been talking about linking on your website, and specifically what I call “leaks” on your sales page. We’ve been talking about linking on your website, and specifically what I call “leaks” on your sales page.
Links from your website to other related websites are almost as important as inbound links to your websites from other sites.
Just not on your sales page.
That’s because on your sales page, your readers are on track to making a purchase. You really don’t want to give them an excuse to change their mind.
I look at it this way (and you should, too): Everyone’s always in a hurry. So readers of any website are always impatiently asking themselves “Stay or go??? Stay or go??? Stay or go???”
All the time.
So if you give them any reason to go — a link to another site, or another page on your own site, perhaps — then they’re likely to take it.
Certainly not all of them, but many of them.
That’s why you should watch out for leaks. Here are two of the most common: Read more
Good and Bad Links on Your Website
Good and Bad Links on Your Website
Last week, we talked about leaks on your website.
Did you check out your sales page? It’s easy to overlook the many leaks that are there — especially if they’ve been there for a long time.
We’ve all got a tendency to be blind to the way things are, and find it difficult to look at our own work with objective, new eyes.
Sometimes, it’s bad to link away from your website. But most of the time it’s a good thing. So today, I’m going to explain the difference to you. Read more
Is Your Website Leaking Money?
Is Your Website Leaking Money?
Your website might be leaking money, and you might not even know it.
Several years ago, I was speaking at a live seminar, and I remember someone submitting their website for me to review. The site’s owner had written an ebook all about how to quit smoking in something like 7 days.
And if I’m not mistaken, his technique had something to do with hypnosis.
And so I’m looking through his site and I see he’s got a well written headline, some good inspiring images, some good sales copy, some links to other pages on his site and some testimonials.
And then he had some quote from some other well-known hypnotist. The quote gave this hypnotist’s expert opinion that hypnosis is a good way to quit smoking…and his name was a link to the expert’s website.
…which would not have been terribly bad except that the expert was selling his own product to teach people how to stop smoking through hypnosis! Read more
Is Google Adwords for You?
Is Google Adwords for You?
If you’re interested in getting a LOT of traffic to your website, for as little as a Penny a visitor, then look no further than Google Adwords.
Adwords is Google’s “pay per click” system. Pay Per Click means that you’ll get traffic, for a fee. But you’ll only pay the fee when Google sends you a visitor.
And they’ll never charge you more than you let them.
In other words, YOU get to decide how much you want to pay for each visitor. Read more
Making Links that Google Loves
Making Links that Google Loves
If you’ve got your own website, or even if you don’t, you’re going to want to know this important tip about creating Links Google Loves.
That’s because when you write in a blog, or update your own website, or are posting to Web 2.0 sites, your goal is to get someone to read your content. And your goal is to also get people — and search engines — to follow your links.
And when those links point to other sites of yours, or to your affiliate or CPA links, each of your links can potentially earn you big bucks.
Have you ever seen a link that looks like this?
“Check out my herbal diet program here. ”
Do you see how the link is the word “here”? Well, that’s a BIG WASTE of a link for you.
That’s because the job of a search engine is to link information together in a meaningful way. Part of the “meaning” that it learns about a page comes from the links that point to that page.
So, what does a search engine learn if the link is the word “here”??? Read more
